ASSISTANT Project MANAGER

We are seeking to hire an Assistant Project Manager (APM) for a capital projects program, working from a project office in Boston. The APM will provide support to the Project Manager in managing, coordinating, and administering construction projects.

Essential Job Duties

  • Support Project Managers in supervising multiple projects during all phases of construction.
  • Monitor, log, file, and circulate RFIs, field orders, ASIs, PCOs, and change orders.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate with designers, general contractors, architects, and owner on a variety of project-related tasks.
  • Prepare Bid, Contract, and Construction documents in accordance with designers and Project Managers.
  • Manage, update, and monitor project budgets and schedules.
  • Assist Project Managers in change orders review and coordination.
  • Review, log, and assist in processing contractors’ payment requests.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and coordinate construction meetings and site visits.
  • Attend on-site and off-site construction meetings, prepare Meeting Minutes if required or review minutes prepared by the general contractor and/or design team.
  • Assist Project Managers with punch list and project closeout activities.
  • Prepare draft monthly progress reports for Project Managers’ review.
  • Assist Project Managers in preparing and reviewing Monthly Draws.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of construction experience, or equivalent work experience

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Pro or Bluebeam Revu
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently without detailed direction or supervision
  • Flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities
