Project Description

City Point Partners is providing OPM Services for capital projects at MCCA facilities including the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the Boston Common Garage, the Hynes Convention Center and the MassMutual Center in Springfield.

City Point Partners is assisting on a number of projects including building out business space, repairing and replacing escalators and elevators, construction of a new urban garden, modernizing executive suites and restrooms, waterproofing the Boston Common Garage and upgrading various building envelope and MEP systems .

Project Description

Located in East Boston, the Excel Academy Charter High School originally opened in 2015. In order to accommodate an expected increase in enrollment, Excel determined a need for an addition to support its growing population. The two-story 5,250 sf addition includes 8 classrooms and 4 break out support rooms. Minor interior renovations will also be made to the existing main building to expand the teacher workroom and network operations office. All construction will be completed while the existing building remains occupied. The project will be designed, bid and constructed according to MGL Chapter 149.

Project Description

The Linden Ponds Retirement Community in Hingham, MA is 21 buildings on 108 acres. Due to growing demand, Erickson is building a new 7-story, 156,000 sf independent living residential facility containing 107 new living units. City Point Partners is serving as the Owner’s Representative overseeing all aspects of construction as well as reviewing pay applications, RFI’s and change order requests, reporting safety violations, reviewing punchlist items and participating in the project closeout process.

Project Description

What began as a short-term on-call assignment to help Northeastern complete a number of small construction projects, many of which were deferred maintenance-related, has grown into a much longer commitment involving larger more complicated projects. City Point Partners’ project managers have helped Northeastern oversee a number of projects including laboratory renovations, campus infrastructure projects and classroom renovations. While much of the work has been based on Northeastern’s Boston campus some projects are located on campuses in Burlington and Nahant, MA as well as at their satellite campuses in San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA.

Project Description

MassDOT’s original materials testing laboratory was located in South Boston. The facility served MassDOT well over time but it became apparent that in order to keep pace with the research and planning needs of MassDOT, that significant building upgrades needed to take place. Rather than renovate the South Boston location, it was determined that centrally locating a new laboratory in Hopkinton would better serve the Commonwealth. City Point Partners was brought on to manage the construction of the new 2-story, 49,000 sf laboratory. The project is seeking LEED Silver Certification and constructed using the CM@Risk delivery method.
